Swim And Dive Denison Meet

On the night of September 29th North dominated the Dension swim and dive meet. Divers Bryer Oldham and Moriah Barnett scored 168 and 156.15 respectively for 1st and 2nd place finishes. Team captain Trevor McCormick had an outstanding meet, placing 1st in the 200 free with a personal best time.

Camille Murray, breaking her personal and the school’s record in the 500 free with a 5:11.22, says “It feels great, and breaking the record adds to the experience.” Camille has been swimming for 10 years and recently verbally committed to the University of Louisville to continue her career. She uses swim as an outlet for her emotions and says it keeps her on the right path.

Coach Cuskay, who has been coaching swim for 15 years at North, says, “I think it’s fantastic, and she puts in work every day at practice.” Teammate Rachel Sellers, who will continue swimming in college, also thinks Camille breaking the record is “great”.

The team is very excited for the next meet (which is going to be a pink out) this Thursday, October 20th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Come out to support the Mckinney North High School swim team!
